How We’ll Create Your New Website
This will be a collaborative process. In the beginning, we’ll set the timeline together and I’ll provide a detailed project plan to get us organized — outlining where you’re input will be needed. Below is how we approach each new website project to give you an idea of our process.
Consult
// Understanding your brand.
Evoke consults with you about your goals and objectives for your new website. During this phase of the process, we begin to understand your brand, company values, audience, and market. To help start the conversation around design, we’ll ask you to compile a list of websites you like and dislike so we can begin to understand your preferences.
Research
// Seeing your opportunities.
To help Evoke develop recommendations on how to best position your business, products, and services, we research your competitors and similar companies. We then meet with you to discuss our findings and agree upon the direction to take based on your guidance and our recommendations. We also begin to develop your online brand standards and guidelines as we prepare for writing and designing.
Plan
& Write
Creating your voice and content.
Once you feel comfortable with the overall direction of your new website, Evoke will create an outline for the website’s written content and draft the primary navigation. Once approved, we’ll draft all website content written specifically for your target audience. With visual learners in mind, our timeline provides an opportunity for you to review the copy when it’s first drafted and again when you see it come to life in the development and design phase.
If you’d rather write and provide your own website copy, we will edit the content you provide as we move on to the development and design phase.
Design
Bringing your work to life.
After the content is finalized, it’s time to build your new website. We’ll present several designs for you to choose from based on our ongoing research and conversations. We will meet to discuss what you like and — sometimes more importantly — dislike before we develop the rest of your site. You’ll have a chance to review the site in its entirety and provide feedback so you’re confident and feeling good about the look and tone.
Launch
Implementing your vision.
After the content is written and the site is designed, Evoke will move on to the technical stuff — moving your domain (URL); setting up Google Analytics and Google Search Console if needed.
We ensure your site is fully optimized for search engines, with a focus on Google. Then we’ll launch your website!
Post-Launch Support
Supporting your new website — and you.
Don't worry, Evoke won’t disappear as soon as we launch your new site. We'll stick around for a while — typically 30 days after your website launches — to make sure there is a smooth transition and to make any requested edits. We’ll also teach you how to use and edit your new website and make sure you have a basic understanding of the available tools to monitor website performance. We are also happy to talk to you about any further work we can do together to support your future business goals.
